Are we noticing a sign here by noting that a few airlines with A388 services to JFK have reverted to older, smaller aircraft? Is this a sign of things yet to come or is it temporary just for the winter season? I am referring to the end of the SIA and the DLH A388 service to JFK. Gladly, we still can see the AFR, UAE, and KAL services. In fact, UAE has added a second A388 daily. Do these huge aircraft actually fill-up every seat?

Lufthansa is a seasonal thing, I imagine the same for Singapore. It's not unusual for airlines to switch equipment based on time of year.

Yes, the Emirates A380 really does fill up. If it didn't, they wouldn't have added a 2nd. It's quite amazing.

I was watching Flightradar24 last night and spotted like 7 A380s in flight worldwide at the same time from KAL alone.

You guys were correct; the switch from the new A388 was just seasonal. I panicked as I somehow have an aversion towards the shape of the B773. I am happy to report after much research, the A388 from Singapore will indeed return on March 24. I plan to be there to welcome her. Retirement is good.
