I finally had some time to go through some photos from the summer. While on a family vacation in California, we spent some time at the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino.

I had seen some of their aircraft at air shows over the years and decided that when the opportunity arose, I would visit their museum. They have a wonderful collection of warbirds, many of which are in flyable condition. One of the highlights for me was the the only flying Mitsubishi Zero with the original Sakae engine. Also, they had a huge collection of model aircraft located in display cases in some of the hangars. You'll see them in the background of some of the photos.

They regularly fly aircraft from their collection and on the day we visited, they flew an Avenger and a Dauntless.

In the restoration hangar, a Bell YP-59A Airacomet is being restored back to flight.
It was America's first jet aircraft... can't wait to see it fly
