View Full Version : Etihad to Upgrade AUH-JFK to 777-300ER for Summer 2013

According to airlineroute.net, Etihad will upgrade their daily AUH-JFK-AUH flight from the A340-600 to the 777-300ER. AUH-ORD and AUH-YYZ have seen the 777-300ER from the beginning of their operations but this is a first for JFK. The switch will be effective March 31st.

NIce!! another Etihad on my list! I thought they usually send in the A340-500s to JFK. I do know they do sometimes bring in the A346

Ugh...this is disgusting. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the A346. Yet another flying dildo for us.

I don't think an A346 is the prettiest thing, and I think it is great to see a new aircraft that most of us jsut wouldn't otherwise have under our belts. However, it is true that 777s can become boring after a while.

Etihad loves special schemes. I'm sure there'll be somethin good on the 777s.

With the exception of a 772LR, unless you are up close enough to enjoy the size of it, 777s are somewhat boring.

Phil, they're ALL horrible! Aside from the B6, DL, and AA stuff, B77X's are becoming pretty much all you see anymore. The world of the four-holer is over (and yes I say that even considering the existence of the flying forehead, aviation's very own Helen Hunt...the visually disgusting A380).

I thinkt he Korean A380 is great looking. The others, I do agree.

Keep in mind, this is why we take photos! So when the plane get boring or change, we can look back and enjoy yesteryear!

Yes, now I understand how my parents complained about the "noise" I listen to and how they grew up with music lol.

And the KE A380 looks like an overstuffed sausage of meconium.

Phil I agee. I think the only nice looking A380 is KE. Im not an A380 fan nor airbus fan, But I do love the A340s. Yes the 777s could get very boring after awhile, anyone would like to catch something new for once. I know people that will catch something once and wont get it again. As for me. Ill catch anything good in great light. And Kenny as for the four wholers, I understand your part. I do wish they would be more 747s around for the fun. and I say the same thing about DC-10s/MD-11s. Its sad but wat u gonna do.

Not that I'm a scarebus fan, but if they're gona switch to a two-holer, at least to to an A330 since those are what they throw their other special schemes on.

I know this is an old thread...But do you think we will ever see F1 back at jfk... I took it for granted, then one day I looked up and it was a 777. Is there anyway in to see if it will go into IAD days in advanced??
