Only when I'm on work there is PERFECT light out...for the RWY they using...SMH

How big of a lens are you using? Where do you spot from? I am thinking of going spotting at JFK, but the spotting guide suggests that most locations require more than a 300mm (my 75-300mm isn't very good at full zoom).

I use a 55-300mm lens, though most of the time you won't need the full 300mm. The spot today was Costco.
