The 767 is VP-BKS. It's a frequent EWR visitor. The German craft are C-160 Transalls, made by Aerospatiale and VFW. The German Air Force has a facility at IAD, so the Transalls are pretty common there.

Uh, sir...you are just KILLIN it. Great job on a variety of stuff, and I don't need to tell you how friggin awesome that Tupelov is.

Ask yourself this: how many other dudes here in the US can say they shot two DIFFERENT Tu-154's in one calendar year.

I don't know if you're a drinker or not and normally I don't encourage other people's debaucheries, but that deserves a bottle of the Crown my friend. Pour a stiff belt for yourself, then you do a toast to the spotting gods that allowed it.

Nice shot of that C-20! Did you get approached by Security at Andrews? I'm sure that they'd be pretty tight on security around the perimeter. Also, nice capture of the Private 757. Chris this is VC-25 returning from some type of mission. The first capture was SAM 28000 and this one SAM 29000. i am keeping an eye on the President schedule though.

Steve the C-32B is a rare catch and it's former ATA 757. I think the US Air Force owns two of this former ATA birds.

Thanks the banking shots were taken at DCA and exact location is geo tagged on flickr. German Air Force has a facility at Dulles so they are regular visitors. I've shot the A310, A319, A343 and the Transall C-160s including the white livery.

I hate to be the one to do this... But that Open Skies jet is not a 707, it is an OC-135B, derived from the WC-135, and is basically just a KC-135 tanker, without the boom, and with some other stuff added.

Ya I remember the day last September we found out he was coming and we all refused to go resulting in a night photography that looked disgusting so quite a contrast compare to that. I even asked Nick to help me edit and it still looked gross lol.

I was made aware of the Ceiba 777 presence but since I have it I didn't bother to go down so I didn't know anything about the Citation.

That is not "Air Force One"... Air force one is SAM 29000 and 28000 i believe and they are VC-25's. they also have some turquoise and silver in the livery...thats an E-4B as FASIL stated. (technically any plane that the current president is on is AF1)

Thanks guys. Manny I did not know my self of it's existence until one day on a Saturday in Mid October sitting at home and scouring the sky on flightradar24. Then I sow something big on final towards Philly from the east so I decided to check it out. Then I said oh wow, really? Then I made a promise the next time you show up in a good light I am going to do the driving. Then just to tease me she showed up right the next day but I wasn't prepared so I let her slip. Then two weeks later at the end of October on a Saturday she showed up so I delivered my promise. I am glad I did.

Steve all DCA spotting is best from Long Bridge Park. We no longer go to Gravelley point. If 1s are in use you get spectacular departure shots and if 19s are in use you get arrivals with sick banks.

Steve all DCA spotting is best from Long Bridge Park. We no longer go to Gravelley point. If 1s are in use you get spectacular departure shots and if 19s are in use you get arrivals with sick banks.

Good to know....thanks for the info. FYI, I will be in town 4th of July weekend and plan on squeezing in some DCA spotting if you're around.

Steve I will keep in mind. Bare in mind DCA is extremely slow on Saturdays and on long weekends Sundays too with some 40% flight reduction. However the afternoon goodies like Frontier, Alaska and Virgin are always present as well as Southwest which is expected to add more lights next month.

I'll definitely remember that.....Even if it's not as busy as usual, it will still be good to catch some of the staples that are always flying. Does the reduced flight schedule on weekends and holidays at least mean less CRJs?

No it actually means more of them since the big guns will be cut back lol.

Damn...I was hoping it was the other way around, in that they would cut the flights to the smaller markets and keep the mainline birds going....ugggh.
