The UAE royal family paid a visit to Des Moines today to attend the World Food Prize, and even though it was dark when he came in I decided that a crappy picture was better than nothing. I went down later to get another photo of it,but because it was parked aways from me,and raining this was as good as I could do.

That night shot has a lot of character to it (plus a pretty good story).

The weather was horrible. At least you got out. I was in Ames walking around campus all day in the driving rain :(

That night shot turned out pretty good. How high was your ISO and shutter speed?

I think both shots are pretty good. Nice catch!

ISO-3200 and shutter speed was 1/20.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments.

When something that rare comes into any airport and especially one like DSM which has far less exotic traffic than say JFK or LAX it so important to document and that you. Both shots are fine and the night one is very cool and actually pretty good.

Thanks for sharing and documenting your local airports history.
