Just pulled this off a website.
1150EDT -- Air Force One departs Newport News/Williamsburg Intl Airport.

1255EDT -- Air Force One arrives JFK.

MITT ROMNEY

0945EDT -- Arrives at Long Island MacArthur Airport, Ronkonkoma, NY.

What runway will AF1 land on? 3lL?

I am thinking Inwood Park – Inwood is the best place to get a good angle on AF1 today.

This is just a personal observation, but you should get all the AF-1 shots you can. If the President loses this election, you can be sure that Pres. Romney won't be making these (seemingly) weekly trips to NY.

If you didn't get to catch AF1 today it will be coming back again to JFK on Thurs. around 2PM.:wink:
Obama will be in town to tape the Jon Stewart show and go to another dinner in NYC also.

Even if Obama is re-elected, once the election is over, he won't be here as much as he has been recently.

Probably because Rwy 14/32 has been closed down alot lately while work
continues on the installation of the EMAS bed on the north end of that runway.

Nice meeting you today Artie! Was off today, so brought my wife and made her freeze while we waited for 10 minutes. Secret Service was parked in the lot at Inwood.

I wish I could have. I just didn't think I'd be able to move around that much on the island and get both. I hope someone did!

Only with my eyes. :mad: Had just dropped the folks off at ISP for their flight to MCO and was the first car at the traffic light at the Vets Hwy/ Lakeland Ave intersection. I had barely stopped the car when Romney's blue & white MD80 comes screaming in front of me to land on Runway 6. Major fail!

Where was AF1 parked? Dont they usually park by the Triple Hangars? I picked my daughter up at T5 at 4PM and as we left we didnt see it anywhere around. Had my daughter looking also as i drove towards the Belt EB entrance.
BTW a quick aside, I wish I had Marine 1 access today. With the LIE closed EB for over 12 hours today it was Traffic Hell heading out east even on the south shore. My 40 minute ride took 2 hours. Not sure why the investigation took that long but RIP NCPD Highway officer!!

No, they were only parking there when 31L was being repaved. They usually park down near Hangar 19 in normal ops.

Wish I knew about Romney's plane going into ISP. I just assumed he would go into FRG or JFK. Must've been nice to see a jet at ISP that wasn't a 737 painted blue, red and orange!

Thanks John. Kinda cool I got my daughter to "spot" on the run. But it was AF1!! :cool:
BTW, where is Hangar 19? :confused::tongue::eek:
