I've been spotting for almost 30 years and was thinking about aircraft bearing orange (or partially orange) tails. All I could think of is Viasa D10 (they also flew a B74F for 1 season every Mon. arriving JFK at 1800). I actually took car service out there to see it. Also orange were LTU L10, SAA ( orange and blue lettering and Springbok), and the Braniff "Big Orange" which flew weekly into JFK from S. America (Rio I believe). Which airliners did I omit?

I wonder if that orange will turn to brown once the UPS acquisition is complete.

I do recall seeing the SAA 747 SP as a somewhat regular visitor at JFK around 20-25 years ago. Used to be parked at BA's terminal, many times in Concorde's regular parking spot.

Good memory. The SAA 747SP did indeed use the BA Term (now T7). Then, SAA moved for a while over to the AAL Terminal.

Thanks. I was unaware that a TNT B74F still comes to JFK. In all my years of spotting, I've never seen a TNT in person. I'm sure Homeland Security loves that title. Just joking!
