BOS & JFK - 8/24/2012 (JAL 787 & KLM Cargo)

Had a few minutes to shot at BOS before my departing flight back to JFK. Was fortunately enough to see the JAL 787 (what a sweet bird). Unfortunately the heat haze was terrible, but better to have a shot than not!

While taxing to T5 was able to get a shot off through a dirty window.

While on the Air Train heading to meet up with my sister I saw a 747 KLM Cargo taxing (it seemed to me she was heading out). Once I met up with my sister I quickly hijacked her car and made a bee line to try to catch the bird. Unfortunately heat haze was a killer here as well. Here is the result

I also noticed this Emirates A380 with titles I haven't seen before (maybe you might have). I guess something else to keep any eye out for

While on the Air Train heading to meet up with my sister I saw a 747 KLM Cargo taxing (it seemed to me she was heading out). Emirates became a sponsor of the US Open this year. I was there today. they have a huge display on the grounds. In the display is a fully functional first class flat bed seat. pretty cool.

I'm not sure, have not shot Emirates in some time. No spotting for me this weekend. Its all Tennis for me, with a brief stop at the Mets game(but i'm sure I will not be there long) then back to tennis.

Mark, the JAL 787 looks very nice! I've actually been thinking of making my way up to BOS over a weekend just to catch this beauty.

Marcelo .... I would like to spend a day of spotting up in BOS as well. Unfortunately the heat haze was pretty bad yesterday. I would like to catch a better shot of the JAL 787 in the air.

Eric ... May try to catch the morning Emirates arrival to see if they have any new titles. Enjoy the matches.

Rich ... Your shots are awesome of the 787.

As far as I know the KLM Cargo is not a regular visitor but who knows. She must have been empty when she departed. Rotated very very early.

I remembered many years ago ive seen KLM Cargo 747-300F a few times parked at the Polar Air Cargo Building. Good catch though Mark, I wish I knew it was gonna be there or else I would have went to catch it/
