I've finally (somewhat) caught up with processing photos from the past 2 weeks.

Starting at IAD, where a terrible day of missing one after another catch due to runway usage, turned into a decent afternoon:

After getting the departures, I went for arrivals after seeing an An-124 due in. I photographed the Antonov, and was securing everything in my car for the drive back, when I heard props in the distance. When I saw a very dark aircraft, I rushed to get my camera back out, and took a few snaps of a German Air Force Transall.

I made a quick stop at EWR after shooting the Space Shuttle Enterprise on the morning of its move to the Intrepid. I was finally able to get a quality photo of a FedEx 777F, and also got a MD-11F, before heading home:

And finally, last Saturday, I woke up early to get the HAL A330. Little did I know, that not only would I get that, but also the Avianca Star Alliance A319, Cathay oneworld 777-300, South African A340-600 "Beijing 2012", TAM Signatures, JetBlue Red Sox, Saudi Skyteam 777-200 (again), TNT 777, ABX 767-300 (ex-Qantas), and plenty more in great light.

The next 4 planes came over the span of 7 minutes:

It's about time they were with me :) The first 10 hours at IAD were a train-wreck, with everything I wanted going to 1R in the AM (when I was at 1C), and everything going to 1C when I was at 1R in the PM. Plus, every time something good did come to the runway I was at, a cloud would block the sun literally a second before I could take the first shot.

Thanks, guys. Sorry, I didn't realize how soft they looked until I saw them on my home computer. Apparently, the forum software seems to be stretching my 750px images out to over 800px.

Well, posting A.net thumbs is easier for me, since they're already watermarked, high-quality, and I can just paste in an image #. This way was a little bit of a PITA, since I had to resave them after my server made the watermarks, upload them to Photobucket (to save some of my bandwidth), generate all the image tags, and still, the quality got mucked because of the stretching. But I'm glad you're happy

Eric, you're too much  Actually, I'll be glad when you show everyone the fact that some of your images are the most popular and clicked on on A.net! Show off your talent... for example:

A classic and often duplicated shot.

Not so easily duplicated, also classic!

Yeah, 4 planes on my wish list crossed off in a 7 minute span, one right after another. I guess I have to get lucky once in a while :)

That is the most selfish thing I have ever heard you say. Come on!!!! Just look at your last few hundred "keepers"... looks like a ton of luck you have... It must be an Asian thing

Oh Manny, if you could have just been with me at IAD  Up until about 4pm, I was ready to swear off plane spotting. After 6 hours of spotting and having everything that could possibly go wrong go wrong, the only hope I was left with was getting a UPS A300 taxiing in, and at the exact moment it was within range, the sun, which had been out for 20 minutes (for absolutely no planes) went away.
