You can get an D700 pretty easily, William... not sure why you had such a hard time scoring one ??

When you have a really hard time finding anything, give a call to Berger Brothers in L.I. and speak to one of the two brothers. They will usually find you a copy of the most obscure thing within days... I ued them for the VERY RARE 200-400mm f/4 VRI and likely will have to also for the VRII
