El Centro 2012

Well, I've finally gotten through a majority of my El Centro photos. I have to say that for my first trip to El Centro I had quite a treat. After expecting to only get to watch the show with the rest of the crowd, there was a pleasant outcome for the event. During the Food Expo that was held Friday evening on base after the practice show myself and Brandon wound up talking to Captain Mark Hubbard who was flying an F8F Bearcat for the CAF in the show. While talking to Capt Hubbard, we had the opportunity to walk outside of the crowd area to see his bird up close. While checking out the Bearcat we got to take photos and were handed the best gift of all.....a Flightline Pass for the show on Saturday. This definitely made up for the fact that the performers were kept at a distance from the crowd during their performances. So, anyway.....here are a few pictures. Really good stuff Steve! I like the Blues shot with the 4 in the background and the two opposing in front. Great composition there, as well as perfect timing. The RV-8 shot is very well done. You must have met this guy Fred that I know. ;)
