It's not new, but they are expanding the airports where it is available:

I enrolled in the program (through my Platinum status on American) and went through the new pre-clearance line in Dallas a few weeks ago. It was a true pleasure. I am not a big fan of the TSA - alright, I pretty much despise the TSA - and this was a much less stressful experience. No clothing came off (I was wearing a hooded sweatshirt on top of a shirt), laptop stayed in the bag, regular metal detector instead of the privacy invasion scanner they are using in most lines, shoes stayed on ... you get the picture. Unfortunately my home airport is RDU which isn't even on the list. I was in Chicago earlier this week and was told it will be available at O'hare around the 20th of this month. Great program, till the TSA finds some way to screw it up.

Seems you also have to apply for the documentation... It is part of the GOES CBP programs as well.
