Hi, everybody!
I'll be in MIA for work from March 12 through March 22. I do my last shift on the 21st, so I can spot all day on March 22nd before coming home. I will not have a car, and don't know where in MIA I'll be staying, just yet. I was wondering if any of the MIA locals are here at NYCAv, and whether you'd be willing to be my tour guide for the day.
Thanks!
Antonis

Sorry for bumping my own thread. Still looking for someone to show me around.
I do have access to a car thanks to my company so that won't be an issue. Just hoping to meet someone out here who can show me all the best spots!!

I know theres a hotel about 2 or 3 blocks close to Rwy 9R. I dont remember the name but if you stay there, you can walk to the train tracks down that road, you can get shot right there, That runway is mostly used for cargo departures which many are schedule there, a number of 747Fs, MD-11s 727s DC-10s or such what you can get from there. although you will see many landings from there..

Tis, just go to The Furniture Store spot and The Holes and be happy... You can make an entire day of it just those two...
I also GUARANTEE you at least one more spotter will join you or be there already and then the rest is easy... if they're local, just tag along. If not, they are likely to know their stuff. A lot of German spotters there and man, they are scary knowledgeable of MIA even though they never been there :)

I've never seen El Dorado empty while they 9/12/8's are in use. I've driven over at 6AM and there's already a crowd.

El Dorado holds a special spot in my heart. Especially the concrete barrier...wink, wink.

I've missed the thread the last couple of days - so much darn stuff going on - the best places at the moment are El Dorado for runway 9 on the south and the holes on runway 12 - the 22nd is unfortunately out for me - during the week it's difficult to get off at the moment - I just have so much going on. If you can make your way to one of the spots - there are always people around - MIA has a lot of dedicated spotters - I'm sure once you get there - they would help getting between the locations and back to where you are staying - El Dorado is probably the best place to head to...
