You are not up in the air for very long. Not a huge issue.

Well, nice to know that even in the New Year, old habits die hard.....

Looking at $663.60 RT for this route. That is very expensive, considering a connection through PHL reduces the total cost to $344 and runs more often. I can't see this route staying available for very long.

Never said Southwest was fake, but the fact is they are pulling back substantially. I have been lobbying my friends at UA/CO for ISP-CLE or ISP-IAD on Q400's...the introduction of that type makes the economics more attractive than operating with ERJ's.

Not saying it will happen, but one can hope that another "real" airline, read major carrier, or large LCC (Southwest and JetBlue fit here) can come in....and by real I am excluding carriers such as Allegiant and Spirit etc.......

My dislike of Southwest has tempered with time-I have flown them a bit...they are actually better than US!!

Not to mention ISP-IAD may stir up some competition with US's ISP-DCA flights and reduce fares. At least for the connecting passenger.

For 350 bucks?

As Yankee has stated, at that fare this will be short lived.

Offers a different connecting option though. PHL can be a nightmare. DCA can too, but the US Airways facilities will be much more consolidated at DCA so there won't be as much of a run.
