iPads to be used by Pilots Officially

Hopefully soon they will allow this for the rest of the cabin as it is a fact that a lot of
passengers on any given flight never turn off their devices and simply put them away.

I saw a presentation by Jeppesen on their iPad app and was very impressed with the speed at which it ran, especially considering how large plate files tend to be. Thumbing through charts is actually very time consuming even for the well-versed, and though I am not huge on digital reliability in the aviation world so much, the iPad is a SMART choice.
