I may head out for a weekend in two months or so. Just curious, why does it cost so much to rent a car in Phoenix? They seem to be triple what it costs to rent in just about every other city.

Not sure, but let me know when you come down. I have made some good contacts with some of the rental companies.

Will do. Still trying to make my final plans for a spotting trip in Jan/Feb/Mar timeframe. PHX is in the top 5 right now since I have only had a chance to spot for a total of about 3 hours over two layovers there while passing through.
