Very exciting news! Definitely will be taking the day off from work for the inagural flight! And its gonna be a dreamliner to boot!!!

Well thats great news.... I have been waiting to see which Asian airlines would be coming here... and the 787 to boot....

Now I just wish they'd get more European variety or middle eastern traffic. A Emirates or Etihad flight would be great. Too bad there's not enough of a draw for one of those flights. And some morning international arrivals would be a great start too.

I'll be there as it will be a Sunday morning. I would love to see Emirates or Etihad at Logan as well. Still waiting forTurkish to announce when they will start service

Turkish would be nice too! Get a couple more 777s at Logan. I wouldn't even mind seeing a LAN 767 or and Avianca airbus.

Massport has been pushing hard for an Asia flight for a long time. They knew their opportunity was going to come once 787s entered service, and good for them for finally getting it. This is exactly the type of route the 787 was designed for - a long, thin route that couldn't be operated profitably with existing 5000+ mile airplanes but could work with lower capacity and lower consumption.
