Not too many this time. Snowed heavily in the morning then cleared up nicely in the afternoon; light was great near sunset.

That is some beautiful light! I have yet to get some good light like that when I've gone out spotting lately. Maybe Monday at JFK if I go.

Very nice indeed! That B1900 flew over me as I was picking up my sons from the baby sitter. I had the camera in the car, but no time to head to the airport. I'm glad to see that you got out there!

I was surprised that they were using runway 1 when the wind was 290 at 17; I assume that only runway 1/19 was cleared of snow.

I didn't listen to the ATIS so I don't know if they had closed 28. Even if it wasn't closed it may have still been contaminated and most aircraft would take runway 1 and a crosswind rather than a short, slippery one with the wind on the nose.

If the runways were anything like my driveway, they would have been a real bear to get clear. I've still got a thick layer of snow/sleet on my driveway that will only go away if I chip it off. The regular snow shovel or snow blower is useless on that stuff.

Doing good. Off the Vicodin and virtually pain-free. It's going to be non weight-bearing for at least five more weeks.
