Eastern, my old time favorite... used to be our family airline for years... we selected it because it was the very first terminal on the circle LOL. And if you recall the old terminal, traffic on departures level was ATROCIOUS!!!!

champion,we used to pop in and out of good old LGA a lot, my first time into LaGuardia was in nov.'07, a sweeping late night visual onto rwy 4, it was a beautifully clear, see forever type of evening, the skyline aglow, the bridges twinkling , and the stars, and moon adding their 2 cents to the chorus, that completed the trifecta for me,EWR,JFK, and finally LGA !

I remember that night... Sadly, I was out of the tower when you called in.

Did Northeast Airlines ever make an appearance at LGA?

Did Northeast Airlines ever make an appearance at LGA?

Not only did they serve LGA, one of the planes they used was the FH-227 with YELLOWBIRD service to Boston and other New England destinations.
These also flew in Delta colors for a while after they bought out Northeast.

hey ISP Pilot i like your signature line, when i was a private pilot i wanted to fly a 152 from MMU to JFK, and land on 13L ,winds allowing of course, i even went up and visited the tower to ask the best time for them for me to enter the mix,( saturday am btween 8-10 am circa 81-82),never did it back then,it wasn't till i was a freightdog DC3 pilot in '94 that i was blessed with a trip into JFK, and a swing round the Canarsie approach, over the old sod, and then to North Cargo, where a swing nose Lufthansa 747-200F was disgorging our freight, you can go home again !!!

Thanks. Each of the controllers up to the JFK local controller had to ask me "Verify landing Kennedy?" Would love to add LGA and EWR to my logbooks as well but they don't seem to have a similar "down time" as Kennedy does. Sat AM around 9 am was actually when I landed. Was fun to be on the other side of the fence as I always used to watch the planes land at JFK at the customs parking lot before they put up those fence slats. Was also fun to see the concorde up close as well as an AA 777 bound for LHR holding short waiting waiting for me to land!
