Finnair Introduces New Livery

Manny, I've got to say I would readily shoot any of the three "bad" ones you suggest over the new Finnair any day - no offense of course :-)

I normally do not think ill of liveries but this one is seriously awful.

honestly the font and the size of the titles aren't bad. i even like the logo on the engines. but it's black on white... same ugliness that is the star alliance livery. BAH!!:mad::mad:

I imagine this livery will look decent enough on an A320 or E-190 but I think there's just too much white on the wide bodies. The white tail is very similar to their older livery:

Speaking of "Tags" are there any liveries out there with actual Graffiti art? Properly done, there can be seriously cool liveries if they let some of the artists go wild!

Nick, it is indeed a Finnair. It was just delivered to HEL in an all-white livery, most likely to be painted into the new scheme in HEL.

Ah! same here... I actually pushed my way past you guys the first time LOL... how rude of me... trying to get that shot of the A380 ... funny how LOOOOOONG that Iberia A340 is... even at 70mm on the full frame it still spills off the frame ugh!

And yeah, I have been around JFK a lot lately trying to catch the regulars in different light, angles, etc. So I am sure we'll run into each other again!

Just to let you guys know that the livery on the A340 is just an interim livery that they are using on the A340 they got from Air France. A couple months ago Finnair said that in the beginning of december they plan to release a new livery with an A330 which is most likely the one they just received. Along with the livery they will probably unveil new cabin crew uniforms. Finnair is a great airline and I doubt they will sink this low for such a boring livery. I'm thinking that the new livery might possibly feature some of the parts of the interim livery such as the billboard font as it seems a lot of airlines are starting to go that way.

I also don't like the new livery. Finnair could have done better. At this time of year, I recall the MD-11 with Santa on the fuselage.
