World Airways operated nonstop scheduled charter service from Houston to Luanda on an MD11 until this past spring, Atlas Air has been operating the route on a 747-400 since the World Airways service ended. Delta may be the 1st scheduled flight open to the public, but cetainly not the first ever.

I had earlier revised to article to say scheduled pax. World and Atlas' flights are considered to be solely charter, especially as per FAA regs.
