Headed out with a local spotter to the crash site of PSA182 for the 32 year anniversary. We got there in time to have a moment of silence at the exact time of impact then two people came by to drop flowers. Some were already there before we arrived. We didn't engage either person as the looks on their faces and body language was very sad and somber. Here is a shot of one of them.

We then drove down El Cajon blvd which brought us right under the spot of the collision and as we continued east we came to the gas station Hans Wendt was when he took his iconic shot of the 727 right before impact.

I then stood as close as I could to where he was and got a shot.

It was very creepy being in a spot that he had heard the collision as he has said then watched as the 727 banked right and came down as he snapped two shots. The area is very small and tight and just can't imagine how the people of North Park lived through that day.

We also went to the SD Air and Space Museum to see the plaque with all the names of PSA182 but it was downstairs being cleaned. We visited the PSA exhibit which was nice and I will post some pics later. I know Ron will enjoy.

Thanks for the pics and sharing. Very moving. I remember when this happened like it was just yesterday. I had the clipping from the paper but due to moving a few times as a kid it got lost in the shuffle.
More changes in aviation happened that day to help prevent this from ever happening again.
