Apparently, it's just for noise. Schumer's idea. I think it's going to make things more dangerous.



The North Shore Helicopter Route (NSHR) is a visual flight rules (VFR) route developed in response to noise complaints received by New York public officials, including Charles Schumer, the senior Democratic U.S. senator from the state of New York. First published on May 8, 2008, it is a voluntary, over-water route designed to minimize noise.

Zuccaro, however, stated that the helicopter industry has achieved 90 percent compliance with the existing voluntary route. He further noted that, according to data supplied by ERHC, just 10 individuals generate 85 percent of the complaints to ERHC’s helicopter noise complaint hotline, and 50 percent of those are from one household.isn't that always the way it is? there's always those few abd apples that ruin the day for everyone.
