Nice work Eric. 4 departures from the Mounds, or is this another new spot you have found?

Here are a few of my shots from Friday. I don't know when I became the official poster boy for spotter harassment, but I had an incident at Bayswater. A park employee mowing the grass rode up to me and asked if I had a permit. I said no, and before I let him talk/throw me out for no reason, I added that I had e-mailed the NY State Parks site, and they said it was fine as long as I wasn't selling the photos. He didn't quite know how to respond to that, so he asked me my name, and I said it was Cary. He again didn't really know what to say, so I just said "nice talking to you" (or something like that), turned around and continued spotting.

Here are a couple more at lower resolution. Unfortunately, the Southern Air and SAA were ruined by tons of heat haze, which is strange because I normally don't get it on takeoffs, but always get it when shooting the departure lines at Bayswater. And for the first time, I didn't get any heat haze for the departure lines.

Check out the over-wing vortex and how it spills downward toward the winglet

Nice work Cary. By the way, what you stated to the parks guy is true. I recall reading something similar on the New York State parks department website.

Thanks Mark...yes, Moose found that little gem for me the last time I had a problem at Bayswater:
