EVERETT Wa. -Boeing announced late Wednesday yet another delay in the 787 program. The delay this time stems from break systems issues. According to the press release, the breaking systems repeatedly failed to maintain proper temperatures during hard breaking.
Boeing CEO Jim McNerney stated that "We will have this issue fixed as soon as we possibly can. We have the entire Boeing team working on a solution". According to the press release, the problem may take as many as 4-6 months to resolve. This would further postpone the already significantly delayed 787 Dreamliner program started by Boeing in 2004. Deliveries of the aircraft to ANA, All Nippon Airways would only be delayed by 2-3 months. A response of ANA has yet to be obtained.
Have a great Day! :borat:
