This is a demo of the new "Content-Aware Fill" feature coming in Photoshop CS5, made by an Adobe product manager. If it works as well in real life as it does in this video, it could be the best tool ever.

The panorama example is stunning.

The desert is just unfair.

amazing tool... but Jeremy is right... what about watermarks ?? I love it and I hate it....

I'm skeptical. If it does indeed work this well, I'm fully-prepared to eat my words.

However, if you look at the desert example, it just copied the information from just outside the boundaries (you can see the bushes in the bottom repeated to the left).

The last stitched example just looks far too good to be true. But, as I said, if it DOES work this well, kudos to the PS team!

Adobe unveiled the details and pricing today, and said they'll start shipping within 30 days. Hope you didn't think that fancy new content-aware stuff would be reasonably priced...

Well Photoshop comes in two flavors. Regular and extended.

Upgrade for Photoshop CS5 is $199
Upgrade for Photoshop CS5 Extended is $349

Ahh yes, you're right. Also, the full Student version of PS CS5 Extended is only $199...80% off.
