View Full Version : JFK Airline/Aircraft List

PhilDernerJr
2010-03-21, 11:36 AM
I've been looking through photos to figure out what aircraft I don't yet have photos of, as I'm very behind on so much recent traffic, and I plan on changing that.

I'd like to compile a list of all of the airlines and aircraft that are normally scheduled into JFK. Post an airline and the aircraft types they operate here. I will edit the first post with all of the answers. Correct each other if wrong or add to it, and I'll continue to edit.

Here's the list, compiled from submissions:

Delta should just be a 767-300ER, the domestic 767-300A doesn't show up at JFK at all. We also very rarely see the 77L, mostly all 77E's. Also, although we don't see them now, as of this summer, we will see DL A330's and 747-400's and will no longer see the 77E.

There is no Iberia A340-500 that comes into JFK. Its either -300 or -600. They dont own -500's

Nick, please take note of information that has already been posted. To add, the Delta A330 is a -300.

You are correct that Iberia does not have the -500, however after reconfiguring a few -300 and -600 aircraft they now appear as -200 and -500 on the trackers.

Australian 772. They are most likely flying one in for the summer schedule.
Allitalia 772 (summer schedule as well i think)
US A319 is gone replaced by a A320 for summer I think.

This thread is for current stuff but even that is nothing considering JFK had a multitude of great subjects back in that era.

How about Iraqi Airways 747 for a time? Now THAT must have been a beautiful sight! Everyone wants to be younger. I wish I was older and travel back in time just to be taking photos at JFK from mid-1970s through early 90's. Oh YEAH BABY lol
