I spent 3 months working in Jordan and every Friday I would hit eather domestic airport or international airport in Amman.
Shooting in Jordan is from hiding locations. They have army soldiers with machine guns everywhere.
At Marka airport I've got ramp access. Unfortunately not to the 'good' part.
Few pictures

Well those are certainly some planes we don't see every day. Awesome. Glad you didn't get shot!

The Silverjet 767 is pretty interesting. Phil posted a blurb about that exact plane in our daily logbook last week (http://nycaviation.com/2009/12/07/the-logbook-get-in-trouble-blame-the-captain/), based on a Dec. 4th post from Airliners Gallery (http://worldairlinenews.wordpress.com/2009/12/04/jordan-aviation-is-still-operating-767-204-er-jy-jag-in-full-silverjet-colors/) showing it in plain old Silverjet paint without the Sun Air titles, shot in Jeddah. As of last check it is still owned by Jordan Aviation, so maybe it was taken before yours, or maybe they were leasing it to Sun Air at the time you shot it. (Sun Air is based in Sudan).

Wow, awesome shots Rafal! I hope to spend a semester studying Arabic in Jordan during my junior year in college. How did you find the country/culture?

Gordon,

People are very friendly. Very welcoming nation. The problem is with public transportation. I seriously don't know how people without knowledge of Arabic language navigate in Amman. They have no maps, no GPS. Only private bus companies which don't have schedule. Each bus is filled to the gills.
If I didn't have personal driver I don't know what I would do there. I would never ever rent a car in Jordan :)
I didn't like the food. The only good meals were in Marriott hotel or in big international chain restaurants like Fogo de Chao or Tony Ramos stake house.
In 3 months we found only one local sharma store which had good food.
If you go to Mickey D's you have to get MacArabia. Very tasty chicken wrap.
