PHOTOS: JFK 12/12/09

Decided to go up to JFK after seeing B-KPF on ACARS. I don't have any pics of her in good light, so I decided to try again. ATIS had 31R active before I left, and there were strong winds from the West, so I figured departures would be on 31L. But, as I approached the airport, departures were on 22R :evil: I started driving to Bayswater, but luckily they switched to 31L on my way there.

Just to get the "bad luck" items out of the way:
1) AA OneWorld 777 was on approach to 31R, and swung over to 31L at the last moment
2) The Delta Pink Ribbon 757 landed on 31L
3) The Aeroflot A330 landed minutes after the sun dipped below the horizon
4) The Avianca A330 departure ended up going straight overhead at HoBe (remind me never to leave at 5:30AM to try to catch it again) :)

But all in all, a pretty decent day (especially for a Saturday). Here are some low-res pics:

Were you guys shooting from the beach (as in right at the water's edge)? If so, I saw you, but didn't recognize you...I only got an hour of sleep the night before, so my brain wasn't working too well! :? Nice pics!

I ran over to Inwood Park on Saturday afternoon where I met Sergio & Nick V to catch the A380 coming in, we had beautiful light.
