Fighter Jets Yesterday Over Hudson

I was visiting Ft. Washington Park yesterday around noon by the Hudson and suddenly I heard and saw some fighter jets pass overhead. There were also some antique aircraft. They were flying northbound but never returned. I think they were making a fly-by to honor the commissioning of the new USS New York. I tried to go aboard the ship last week but the lines were long. I'll try again next week. She departs on Thursday. Did anybody else spot these aircraft?

According NYC OEM for the USS New Yorks commissioning a flyby up and down the Hudson River of V-22 Ospreys and USMC Harrier jets could be expected on Saturday. That is probably what you saw.

Caught 4X USMC Harriers over Levittown heading South around noon yesterday. Figured it was because for the USS New York was in town.

Yes, it must have been Ospreys and Harriers that I saw going up the Hudson but I thought there were some antique aircraft in formation following these. I wasn't certain as they passed so quickly.
