I have had my 40D for 1 year almost to the day and have 88822 shutter actuations

That is an average of 243.35 a day

NOBODY will be able to top that, but where are you today?

Well Heynow! I thought we were just talking about current camera... If my poor Canon Rebel 350 XT could talk, its throat would be soar! I Figured it hat about 500k actuations before the shutter gave me a big FU!

To bad there is no way to see what that shutter did could it could actually be higher!

and then my Poor little Oly that taught me what not to do..... the only reason I can take a half way good picture is I TOOK ALL THE BAD ONES THAT COULD BE TAKEN. After a while you learn what NOT TO DO!..... THAT POOR LITTLE GUY!

Then there was that point and shoot 2.1mp OLY....God rest its soul, Put up with BAD COMPOSITION for over a year!

I am going to go cry now as I use my new 1TB HDD for only my pictures I took.... :(

Mario...I'm still laughing. Line of the year.

As for me...hmmm
My current 40D I have had for 18 months, it 'only' has 16,000 actuations. That's less than 1k per month. Sorry Fred, I'll try harder.
My old Digital Rebel XTi I had for 2 years, ran up approx. 22k there.

I've added about 40,000 since moving here a year ago yesterday - and I'm probably sitting at around 50-60k for the lifetime of a year and half.

It does have a shutter count, you just have no way of knowing what it is.
