I have a colleague at work who is making the switch from 35mm slides (only because he won't be able to buy the film soon!!) to digital and is buying a Nikon D90. I'm wondering if there are any D90 people here and what settings you are using on the camera so I can pass them onto him.

had i not picked up the D200 the D90 was going to be the way i'd go. it has an AF motor, so can use pretty much any nikon lens. from what i read, it's as solid a camera as any nikon.

the D90 is definitely an excellent body, has the internal AF motor as mentioned, many of the features found on the D300.

If I didn't own several D50s, I would have gone D90 for commonality...

Are manufacturers really going to stop making slide film?

That's what he was told by B&H - they are no longer going to be able to supply it.
