LGA Arrivals During Kids Day

Since Rwy 4/22 was closed during Kids Day yesterday, LGA used a rare approach. The arrivals proceeded over Pelham Bay Park south then turned west towards Hunts Point along the Bruckner then visually turned into the approach to Rwy 13. The visibility was good so this was no problem. We owe thanks to the ATC up in the LGA Tower who did a great job yesterday safely overseeing all the arrivals and departures using only 1 runway while also having to accomodate the Skywriters , the C-130 Hercules, and all the other special departures. Great work guys !

They actually use that approach fairly often...."approach 22, circle to land 13". It offered a very cool perspective of those late banks at Kids Day though!
