Great stuff Eric. It was great seeing everyone again today. Nice to meet Wendy & Mario from Orlando & Rafal from IAD.
Eric covered all the highlights. Here's a few from me, with one that's a little different.

Almost forgot about these two guys that were doing "touch-n-go's" at North Woodmere Park.

Crab for lunch anyone?

Poor crab :(

The shot with the LGA departure illustrates finely the web of flights that converge in the NY area!

Good shooting.

Wow John great shots! I have always hoped to see a Great Blue Heron in that area but it's always been just Egrets. Nice find!

Nick, that Great Blue was popping in and out of the reeds the whole time I was there (1000-1300). He made a few passes down the channel and I finally was waiting for him when he flew by.

Thanks Mel, I wanted to try something different and the water was so still, except where its reflection was. That part I didn't notice until I saw the pics when I got home.

I'll just share two shots from Bayswater, while most of you were too busy getting the boring Argentine 757 and C-5 at the other end. Okay, so I'm slightly bitter about not being at North Woodmere earlier

Awesome shots everyone! Just curious if anyone got a shot of N185DN, a Delta 763ER in Wavy Gravy colors with winglets. Should have arrived around 5:15 or so. I took this ship on her next leg to ATL that evening.

But what's the deal - you're in NY during UN weekend, and don't show up for a little spotting? That's weak!

Hey Moose, I was in for Rosh Hashana which happened to be the same weekend as UN weekend. I really wanted to go spotting on Sunday, but just couldn't get away from the family holiday stuff. I got plenty of flack from Kenny lol, but nothing I could do.

Thanks for sharing. I see what crappy shots I get with my little point and shoot camera. The shutter lag causes me to miss many shots and the lens only zooms 4X. In my younger days, I used a 205mm telephoto lens and was perched up on the hill by Rockaway Blvd. I used a Canon AE-1 SLR using a winder and got about 2 shots/second. It was very costly using Kodacolor 400 film taking 100's of photos at a time so I gave it up and they bulldozed the hill by 22L anyway. I bet all my yellow cans of Yahoo are still there!
