Thought I'd post these up for everyone... Second year in a row Boeing has sent the DreamLifter
to us for our airshow. Unfortunately, FedEx and Volga Dnepr didn't send us anything this year,
as they had in the past... Pics were taken yesterday at the practice show.

Enjoy!

i never get tired of the lines on a 747, now matter how distorted they are she's still the most beautiful airplane in the sky!

She will always be the Queen... Even as demented as she looks here. Partial to the original short upper
deck versions, though. Something about that just looks right...

Cool pix. I would LOVE to see that flying!! In fact how about a Flight of 3....the DreamLiner, Airbus Beluga and the Airbus 380 coming over Long Island at around 2000 feet!!!! :D :D :D

Thanks fellas! Was way cool being up close to something this unique...

I only wish that my flight deck shot came out (window shades had the
'pit darkened down nicely and the displays were up to full bright), I took
3 frames and all had some level of "shake" to them.

Far as the formation fly by goes, nix the 'busses and make it a 4 ship
with the DL, a C-5M, an AN-124 and an AN-225! :borat:

That they are! Just wish the AN-225 would make it over to this side of the world a little more often...

Nice closeups...I've not seen shots like that before. I enjoy seeing how the bulge is fitted to the basic airframe like that.

Thanks, Phil! I was astounded at the way the bubble is fitted to the forward fuselage... Honestly it looks almost like old school iron work, such as what you'd see on the Pulaski Skyway or the GW Bridge. Very impressive structural work...
