Was so close to parting with my old Digital Rebel XT...it had been sitting unused for over a year. Then I ran across some shots by a friend of mine, and I knew the camera had a second life coming. I was turned onto http://www.LifePixel.com. They do custom camera Infrared conversions, they remove the filter INSIDE the camera and replace it with an IR filter which blocks out most visible light. So, for a reasonable fee, $325, and 2 weeks without the camera (no big deal it wasn't being used anyway) it came back to me today. Of course, why let it sit, go out and shoot some things...anything at all I said. Needless to say, the little Rebel that could, will be in my bag all the time now. One word of caution, once the conversion is done, you cannot shoot regular shots anymore...unless you have it converted back, so if you have the desire, make sure it's a spare camera.

Here are three of my shots from today:

Very nice, I would have done this too but my xt is dead. I love 2&3 but 1 does not scream Infared due to lack of trees and bushes. (STILL A NICE SHOT THO!)
