It is with profound regret that we notify you of the passing of William DeCota, Director of the Aviation Department on Friday, September 11, 2009. Bill is survived by his nieces, nephews, cousins, and a network of close friends.
Bill began his career at the Port Authority as a financial analyst in 1982 and became the Director of Aviation in December of 1999. With his special blend of intelligence, humor, and unswerving dedication to staff and the Aviation industry, Bill ensured that the Port Authority airport system was one of the most recognized and valued in the nation.
