I would like to ask you all if possible to take a picture of the qatar 773ER arriving on the 31th of august 2009 at 17:00 pm JFK international.
Its a very special friend of mine going on the command of the airplane.

Thank you for the warm greeting! It was only today that I discovered NYCA. I've recently been loosely planning some spotting and personal tours (having contacts that with major airfields is quite convenient) and can't believe there is an entire community dedicated to enjoying the very area I have local access to. THAT WILL BE A DREAM COMING TRUE! BELEIVE ME! This captain was fired from SIA a few months ago and he became a pilot on qatar airways very recently and this will be one of is first flights.

Scheduled arrival is 1500 EST. FlightAware lists the last few QTR083 flights as arriving around this time, so I will continue on the assumption that the time you gave is wrong (1700).

Now, who will be there for the photos? I'm only considering it at the moment. Should I decide I will post here before Sunday morning August 30 EST.

When using the 31s, Qatar comes in on 31R, right?

Wouldn't matter; they can take either 31L or R...they come into T4...

I was curious as to what they TEND to do. Of course they could do either.

I'm at Firestone now. No scanner though. If anyone is listening in and can get me on my phone if it's anything other than 31R, I'd appreciate it.

Phil, Qatar will generally go 31R.

It came in on 31R. Unfortunately, even though the forecast said otherwise, the aircraft was met with clouds on arrival.
