Hey, respect your elders - that airplane is older than you are! Actually, it looks like it is 57-1507, which makes it older than me (I know, I know, that's hard to believe!)

Haha, yea most of the aircraft I'll probably fly will be older than me, but as long as they don't have water injected engines I will be happy... The R models are wayyyy sweeter than the old E models even though they are way too overpowered.

Anyone know how good that museum is?

Would anyone be up for a road-trip sometime?

The museum is decent; there's a small inside hangar with a B-17 and some older types and then a relatively crowded outdoor ramp with a DC-4, C-141, Constellation, a Convair, C-119, C-130, C-97, and a couple other large transport types. I don't know if I'd make the 4-hour trip from NYC just for the Museum; maybe combine it if you know something good is coming into DOV (like a Saudi C-130 or something Israeli; both frequent visitors), or a new BBJ is being delivered to GED (about 45 mins south) for interior fitting. Also keep in mind that if you're coming in on a summer weekend, DE-1 can get very trafficky with people heading to the beaches. I went to the museum during the airshow there in 2006, right before my 90-minute interrogation at the hands of the OSI.

Also the tolls on DE Route 1 are variable. Between I-95 and Dover AFB there are two tolls, both take EZ-Pass, and will charge you either $1 (weekdays) or $2 (weekends) per toll booth).

I do have a spotting page set up at http://www.stevesairshow.com/spotting-dov.html and the video I posted shows what it looks like from the museum - at least in the beginning and end of the video.
