Mel and I had the chance to stop at Albany airport late this afternoon and explore using the Albany Spotting Guide (http://nycaviation.com/spotting-guides/alb/).
First we checked out Spot D, the Terminal Observation Deck, which really does give you an excellent spot to see ramp operations of multiple fingers. It is enclosed but the glass is clean and untinted.
We then went to the cell phone lot (Spot C), which is also very good. You can park right there and hang out. The BEST part of it all was this sign posted at this location:

Aircraft movements are not busy here, but if you plan it out and see what's coming when, the airport is gorgeous and offers great vantage points throguh in a very friendly environment. Big thanks to Daniel Evans for contributing on the guide!!
