Delta Launches LAX-SYD, Becomes "The New Pan Am"

With the new service launched today, Delta becomes the first US-flagged airline to serve all six inhabited continents since Pan Am folded in 1991.

In a way they really are the Orig. PanAm. Even though none of the eqipment is remaining unless some gse is running around from PanAm still most of PanAm absorbed into Delta. How fitting.
