Billy Mays Found Dead in Home

DEVELOPING: Television pitchman Billy Mays — who built his fame by appearing on commercials and infomercials promoting household products and gadgets — died Sunday, FOX News confirms.

Mays was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa, Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department.

He was a passenger on the US 737 that had nose gear problems on landing in TPA yesterday. According to the CNN story, he reported that he had been hit on the head by objects during that landing. Makes you wonder if he had some head injury that didn't manifest itself until later:

Weird, I was just catching up with the Tonight Show from this past week, and Billy Mays was a guest Tuesday night. Weirder: the night before, Conan rolled out "the world's largest Sham-Wow," and the "world's largest mugshot of the Sham-Wow guy" (Vince).
