Looks like N742PS wasn't the 1st PSA scheme in LGA after all

Many of the EA Shuttle 727-200's where ex PSA birds, but I never realized LGA had this scheme here, in this recently uploaded shot from 1981. When US painted ship 742 in the PSA scheme and reregistered her N742PS I always assumed she was the first PSA scheme to grace LGA, I stand corrected !

Here is another just uploaded classic LGA shot showing a PSA scheme 727-200 operating for the Eastern Shuttle, love it! The little DC-9 is pretty sweet too.

That picture jogged the cobwebs, and yes I do remeber seeing these at LaGuardia. I also distincly remember an MD-80? in basic PSA colors (no titles) parked by the PA Administration building back around the same time.

Another memory it brought back was seeing one or two Electras in Hawaiian colors parked over by JFK's triple hangers in the early 80's. I believe they were being used by ZANTOP.

For a time there was also an Airborne Express Caravelle parked there on a regular basis

The photo says 1980, but I remember seeing this when I was at Farmingdale in the late 70's.

The last one would be a DC-8-5?? at MacArthur. It was parked near the control tower, and if I remember it had a small palm tree as part of its logo. This was also in the early 80s
