Neat stuff Fred! Thanks for sharing, they sure bring back memories! Did you notice the DC-10 in the background of the last video (747 pulling up)?

I enjoyed watching those videos, your dad did a great job :) and captured a piece of history as now Pan Am is no more.

Thanks for sharing. Pan Am was one of my favorite airlines because they used mostly B747s, which together with the Concorde, are my favorite aircraft types. They were also one of the first to use a modernist new livery with huge "PAN AM" titles across the fuselage. That idea caught one and is still used by other airliners. I spent many, many hours on the Pan Am rooftop parking area in the "Golden Age". It was closed after Pan Am 103 was destroyed. Were these films made on the old Super 8 film? I am asking because my films always had lines of scratches after watching several times. There were no camcorders back then until the Beta Movie, which was bulky and expensive.

We were using a VCR separate from the camera...it was big and bulky.

Here are videos he also took from rooftop parking...the small squeaky voice was mine at the time.
