From my time at CDW, it seems that the people are friendly, and photo opportunities abound (you can walk right up to the tarmac). All I've gotten so far are waves, unfortunately.

Here are some from both days. All were taken with a Canon EF 70-200mm f/4.0 L IS USM.

The family looked like they went golfing in FL. Once the cargo compartment was opened, out came the clubs. While the rest of the family went into the FBO for coffee, the father drove an SUV right up to the plane and proceeded to offload the cargo into the car. The rest of the family came out, piled in, and left.

CDW? were you per chance the young man with your father over by the viewing area at Mac Dan? I work at Avantair on the north side of the control tower. Glad someone else made it up to my neck of the woods!

Yeah, that sounds like me. After my first flight at KCDW, which was at Air Fleet, I think I saw you as I walked back into the AvantAir hangar. You were on your way out with what looked like a Canon L lens. I asked my instructor who you were, and she answered with "Mike". She said you were a spotter, worked at AvantAir, took amazing photos, and had a website. I figured from that description that it probably was you.

I posted this thread (http://nycaviation.com/forum/first-lesson-at-essex-county-caldwell-kcdw-t15225.html) that day.

Haha! Yeah, it was Christine. How'd you know?

Same plane, different day and operation. I remember seeing your picture before I even went that day to see N98786 taking off. Like I mentioned before, unfortunately for me, I've only gotten waves so far.
