I'm not going to bother with it, I already have the 50mm f/1.8, and if I was really anal i'd buy the 50mm f/1.4G for $150 more.

Might be a great buy for someone who has a d40 and needs a lens for snap shots...

I saw this and was a little annoyed at myself for not waiting a little longer. About three weeks ago I bought the older, more expensive version of this lens - the nikon 35mm F2 $325.
