I am looking into buying the PowerShot SX110 IS for an "everyday use camera" aside from my Nikon SLR. I particularly want a camera with high quality video capture. I hear the high end Canon S Series cameras have great quality in movie mode. Can anybody confirm this, especially on the PowerShot SX110 IS?
Thanks for the help!

i can't really help you out in regards to Canon. But I'm in the same boat as you lookin for a backup for my D300. I've been lookin at the D90 it has video and its nice little compact SLR.

I shoot with a canon sx100IS. It's such a great camera, and it takes beautiful pics. All of my pics I have on my JP.net account were taken with the SX100IS.

Pretty decent shots! How is the video quality on it? I'm interested in using it to film take-off and landing from within the aircraft :)
