A Fedex ATR-42 crashed this early morning at Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport during landing

There was freezing rain, but they already said that it wasn't weather related. The ATR is specifically known for its problems during icing.

I think of American Eagle flight 4184 which was an ATR-72 that went down in Indiana back in 94 due to icing on the wings

ATRs are used on southern/carib routes for that reason.
Glad the crew was ok.

LOL Castaway, except the crash I believe was a FedEx Airbus.
