Tom Turner brought this new aircraft to me attention. Its a Japanese Maritime Reconnaissance aircraft. As many of you know I am not a fan of much of the new aircraft and liveries we are seeing being cranked out by these companies. However this Aircraft P-X is probably one of the most attractive planes I have seen. It looks like a cross between a P-3, Convair 880 and a DC-8. I am happy to see the use of 4 engines again! I hope someday somehow to get a shot of this plane. With so much sterile looking new planes out there its good to see something exciting. I'd love to see this in a civilian version.

i agree with senga. it's definately the coolest looking plane to come out of production in years. IMO it does look a lot like a DC-8 though. glad to see 4 engines again...

It would be nice if Japan exported this model at some point down the line.
It woudln't look to shabby in a ghost grey livery either.

my first thought it was a 4 engine E-170 look a like but with different cockpit windows.

I wonder if the manafactur is considering a 2 engine airliner version?
